After living in New York, Tokyo, London, and now Berlin, I've met a great group of talented people, and I get to collaborate with them on a regular basis.
We work together to fine-tune a creative concept, find the right image, and make a plan to make sure the message gets to where it is going, regardless of which country or what culture it's headed to.
I love helping ideas big and small reach the people who will fall in love with them.
I am an independent curator and writer. I have worked with artists interested in the intersections of technology and fine art in New York and Tokyo and now reside in Berlin where I connect artists and creatives with industry and collectors. I regularly contribute to SomoS Art House and 4SEE Magazine.
My interests include cryptography, retrofuturism, the digital divide, and emerging art in all mediums. I obtained a Bachelors in the history of science from Yale University, completed a research fellowship in cultural elements of computing at University of Tokyo, and a Master's degree in cultural studies at the University of London.
Written, visual, social, and physical.
These days, for an idea to really take off it has to be firing on all cylinders at once.
Maybe I can help you with some of these things:
Once you've got their attention you have to be clear and concise to target your message with great copywriting
to get involved with campaigns, editorials, product shoots, or set design, creating the key elements of any eye-popping visual story
That means listening to and learning how to speak to your fans on social media
Now you can
producing unforgettable events
with a line out the door
And pull in a
to make sure you bow just low enough and serve the favorite local beer
But first you will
need to translate
all of your press materials, product descriptions, and campaign materials
My Paper Sunglasses Project
I worked with Brazilian art director Otavio Santiago to bring this wildly successful project from Brazil to Germany for the first time. In the end, more than forty artists participated by creating a signature original piece of artwork on the paper sunglasses template. At the opening guests could make their own glasses and take selfies with them to make it hashtagtastic. It was really popular here in Berlin and we had a lot of fun making it happen.
